Meeting with the Association of Arab Universities: Enhancing Regional Cooperation

ASREN team, represented by
its Managing Director, Yousef Torman, held an important meeting with the
Association of Arab Universities on 29 July 2024. They were warmly welcomed
by H.E Secretary General, Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, as they discussed enhancing cooperation,
particularly in the realm of Open Science. This meeting underscored a shared
commitment to playing a pivotal role as regional players in education and
research.
Key points of discussion included
the expansion of eduroam services across the region, which will significantly
benefit the academic and research communities. Additionally, the full
re-engagement of ASREN with a new governance system was highlighted, and
potential cooperation in upcoming projects was explored. The spotlight was also
placed on ASREN's upcoming annual conference, e-AGE24, and partnering
with the Association
of Arab Universities for this significant event.
We are excited about the
potential collaborations and look forward to working together to advance
education and research in the Arab region.
