ASREN Signs MoU with AFLI

ASREN and AFLI Sign Memorandum of Understanding
Muscat, Oman – On the sidelines of the 35th Conference of the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information (AFLI), the Arab States Research and Education Network (ASREN) and AFLI signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration in advancing Open Science and Open Access across the Arab region.
The MoU was signed by Eng. Yousef Torman, Managing Director of ASREN and Prof. Nabhan Alharrasi, President of AFLI. This agreement sets a framework for mutual cooperation, with a focus on supporting both organizations’ shared interests in Open Science, Open Access, and the implementation of UNESCO’s Recommendations on Open Science.
Founded in 1986, AFLI is the largest professional organization representing the library and information services sector in the Arab world. As an independent, non-governmental, and non-profit body, AFLI works to foster knowledge sharing, information access, and the professional development of library and information science practitioners across the region.
